PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify time regarding to previous jobs when current time can be acquired later, even if the current time cannot be acquired in starting.

SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a starting time processing means 402 for counting lapse time after the image-forming device is started; current time processing means 401, 402 for acquiring current time from a server device on the network; and a log processing means 405 for generating a log on the job for storage. The log processing means generates a log based on the lapse time before acquiring the current time.
