The method involves replacing a stored block by a new block transmitted corresponding to the stored block if a transmission error rate of the stored block is higher than or equal to the transmission error rate of the new block. The transmission error rate of the stored block is increased for each transmission of a corresponding new block based on the movements detected between successive images. An independent claim is also included for a block coded image processing system including a decoder and an image processing device.
