The device has a field effect transistor (FET) (Q1) placed at an end of a cable. The FET reads a signal transmitted by the cable without removing a portion of the signal. The FET adapts the signal such that the signal is identical to an output of the cable while adapting the signal to the optimal output impedance. An output of the FET is adapted to an iterative impedance of a load situated at another end of the cable.
