PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus capable of performing inactivation of pathogenic protozoa which is in in raw water and is mixed into membrane filtered water by the damage of the membrane of a membrane filtration equipment. SOLUTION: When raw water mixes into the membrane filtered water due to the damage of the membrane of the membrane filtration equipment (1), the membrane filtered water is irradiated with UV rays in a UV treatment apparatus (4) to perform inactivation of the pathogenic protozoa in the raw water mixed into the membrane filtered water.
