PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which makes the start memory display easily understandable even for players playing a game with the type of machine for the first time while enabling the players to carry out the game with an insatiably higher attractiveness. SOLUTION: The game machine is provided with a variable display device 4, a center case 200 which has a display window part 230 facing a display part 4a of the variable display device and control means 20 and 40 for controlling a variable display game to enable the awarding of a special game value related to the result of the display on the variable display game. The center case has a start memory display part 220 which can store and display the winning of the starter prize winning slot 9 as start memory, in the periphery of an opening part 250, within a range of upper limit number in the situation that keeps the subsequent variable display game from being started immediately. A start memory performance display part 210 is disposed on the game board 1 continuously unbroken to the start memory display part from the starter prize winning slot and a control means is provided with a start memory performance display part control part 40 which carries out a performance display pertaining to the winning of starter prize with a start memory performance display part when the winning of starter prize occurs.
