PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer an image excellent in resolution in a depth direction by an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus for providing an image displaying blood flow information or displaying an elastic modulus. SOLUTION: A frequency analyzer 220 analyzes the frequency features of an input signal. A filter correction data generator 221 creates filter feature data based on the analyzed features, so that either the bandwidth of the input signal can be broadened, or the frequency feature curve can become symmetrical with respect to the frequency axis centering on the center frequency, or both can be achieved. A band correction filter 222 performs a filter processing on the input signal using the created data, which offers an image excellent in time resolution. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
