PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize and simplify a production apparatus, and to improve production rate of a gas hydrate. SOLUTION: In a method for producing the gas hydrate, raw material gas (g) is reacted with raw material water (w) in a generator 1 to produce the gas hydrate (n). An ice slurry (s) or a particulate ice (i) is fed to the generator 1 so that reaction heat, which is generated at the production of the gas hydrate (n) through the reaction between the raw material gas (g) and the raw material water (w), can be removed by coldness of ice.
