PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film without causing deformation failure of an optical film raw fabric such as a horseback failure, a protrusion failure even when being stored for a long period of time period, and to provide a polarizing plate using the optical film and a liquid crystal display device using the polarizing plate.

SOLUTION: In the optical film having a cellulose ester, the optical film characteristically contains a compound represented by a general formula (1).
