<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation film which has an alignment film with less optical defects and is superior in liquid crystal display characteristics, and a liquid crystal display device using the optical compensation film. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical compensation film 10 provided with an alignment film 12 having the surface thereof subjected to rubbing treatment and an optical anisotropic layer 13 having biaxial birefringence on at least one face of a transparent support 11, the alignment film 12 is obtained by applying, drying, and curing a UV-curable resin composition having an acrylate monomer as a main component and has a pencil hardness of H to 4H. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
