<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption by using a pressure characteristic of a magnetic fluid. <P>SOLUTION: This magnetic fluid type pressing device has: a thrust mechanism for generating pressing force toward a pressing object member; a magnetic fluid interposed between its thrust mechanism and the pressing object member and transmitting the pressing force to the pressing object member by flowing to the pressing object member side by being pushed by the thrust mechanism; a magnetizing means for restraining its flow by making magnetism act on its magnetic fluid; and a pressure holding means for holding the pressing force by the magnetic fluid by stopping the action of its magnetism after making the magnetism act on the magnetic fluid. The device also has a demagnetizing means for temporarily making magnetism for vanishing its residual magnetism act on the magnetic fluid when applying the pressing force by the thrust mechanism in a state of holding the pressing force by the pressure holding means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
