PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder magnetic core capable of obtaining high mechanical strength and high electromagnetic characteristic even when spherical magnetic powder is used and a manufacturing method of the powder magnetic core. SOLUTION: The powder magnetic core is provided with magnetic powder composed of a soft magnetic material and an insulating film for covering the magnetic powder and has a composition represented by formula (1): (Si-O)<SB>100-x</SB>C<SB>x</SB>(0<x(at%)≤20). The powder magnetic core manufacturing method is provided with a mixing process for mixing silicon resin and a low boiling point solvent of which the boiling point is 60°C and lower, a drying process for removing the solvent from a mixture obtained in the mixing process and a molding process for molding power obtained in the drying process.
