PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease side lobe even when a gap exists among elements or subarrays.SOLUTION: A DBF radar system comprises: a transmission array and a reception array using a DBF processing. The transmission array divides an antenna aperture face into N subarrays, and transmits a pulse signal having N ways of modulation signals by different code series and the like according to each subarray by use of the N subarrays. The reception array divides the antenna aperture face into M subarrays and divides the signal of each subarray into N ways, multiplies each signal by amplitude weight that is set to decrease side lobe when forming transceiver beam and phase weight that is set to be a prescribed beam direction, demodulates the signal by signals corresponding to N ways of the modulation signals, obtains N×M ways of MIMO signals as the output of respective subarrays, and obtains a transceiver synthetic beam output. Thus, the weight for the send-receive subarray signal is controlled by the send-receive subarray signal demodulated by MIMO to decrease the side lobe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
