The purpose of the present invention is to provide a battery cell including a prismatic can on which a top-cap receiving holder is formed capable of improving electrolyte immersion fairness by increasing the inner capacity of a battery case. The battery cell comprises: an electrode assembly including an anode, a cathode, and a separation film; a metal prismatic can in which the electrode assembly is embedded; and a top cap mounted on the opened end of the metal can. The metal can comprises: a first side wall and a second side wall which are faced from each other at a long axis on a horizontal cross section for the center shaft of the opened upper end and a third and a fourth side wall which faces from each other at a short axis. The top-cap receiving holder having an inner protrusion structure connected to the external surface of the electrode assembly at the inner surface of the first and the second side wall.
