PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carsinogenesis promoter-suppressant for preventing cancers and a composition containing the same. SOLUTION: This carcinogenesis-suppressant is an extract of a plant belonging to Rosaceae, the genus Amygdalus, the genus Prunus or the genus Armeniaca and amygdalin (compound 1), purnasin (compound 2) or amygdalin acid (compound 3), glucopyranosyloxy-phenylacetic acid (compound 4), phenyl-b- D-gentiobioside (compound 5) or pheny-b-D-glucopyranoside (compound 6) extracted and purified from the extract and having carcinogenesis-suppressing activity. Cancers are prevented by bringing the composition to contain the ingredient or the ingredients. |
