The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for tracing the center of a rotor. The apparatus for tracing the center of a rotor comprises: a modeling part to generate an electrophysiological model of a patient′s heart; a virtual rotor generating part to virtually generate a rotor which rotates and also causes a wavy rupture as an action potential on the electrophysiological model of the patient′s heart generated by the modeling part; and a rotor center tracing part to trace the center of the rotor generated by the virtual rotor generating part. According to the present invention, the apparatus and the method virtually generates a rotor used to determine a region to be treated by radiofrequency catheter ablation, and can trace the position of the center of the rotor. Accordingly, the apparatus and the method can determine properties of a rotor which can hardly be clinically verified, and can determine a region to be treated by radiofrequency catheter ablation by tracing the position of the center of a virtually generated rotor. |
