The present invention provides a front axle apparatus for a vehicle, allowing an output shaft and a drive shaft, which transfer power of a transmission to a front wheel where an angle of a shaft is changed by a steering operation, to be connected by a double universal joint such that a rotation angle of the output shaft determining a steering angle of a vehicle based on the drive shaft is expanded, thereby reducing the turning radius of the vehicle and allowing stable transfer of power. Specifically, according to the present invention, the output shaft and the drive shaft are connected through a double structure using the double universal joint such that the output shaft and the drive shaft are stably supported with such a simple structure in spite of rotation at a high speed to achieve accurate transfer of power and prevent noise and vibration, thereby securing a comfortable indoor environment. Moreover, the drive shaft is rotationally supported by a knuckle inner housing by means of a bearing such that deflection of a central part of the drive shaft due to the length of the drive shaft manufactured in a predetermined length is minimized, thereby preventing abnormal transfer of power due to distortion caused by the deflection or damage to the drive shaft. |
