PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the intracellular gene relating to the onset of adult T-cell leukemia (ATL). SOLUTION: The gene relating to the ATL is in the q32 area in the human chromosome 14 and encodes the protein of a specific amino acid sequence. A variety of proteins originating from the genes relating to ATL and the antibody recognizes the ATL-relating proteins.
