BLACK POLYIMIDE COMPOSITION AND BLACK MATRIX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black polyimide composition having excellent positive photosensitive characteristics and good resolution during pattern formation and facilitating the production of a black matrix. SOLUTION: This black polyimide composition comprises 1-50 pts.wt. of a photosensitizer and 5-200 pts.wt. of a black pigment based on 100 pts.wt. of solids of a solvent-soluble polyimide resin prepared by reacting at least one kind of compound selected from diamines with at least one kind of compound selected from acid dianhydrides in an organic solvent and having 20,000-300,000 weight-average molecular weight.
