The two photothyristors (PT1 PT2) are arranged next to each other on a common substrate and have electric conductivity in opposite direction. Two light emitting diodes (PD1, PD2) supply light pulses to the thyristors. Electrodes of identical polarities of the individual diodes are connected to a common electrode (S1). The other two diode electrodes remain independent and the entire assembly is housed in a single casing. Preferably the system has a common gate control circuit (GC) with a common potential terminal, formed by the electrode (S1) and two terminals (S2 S3) for supply of ignition pulses to the light emitting diodes.
