PURPOSE:To obtain a flat type battery having good flexibility and high reliability by forming a sealing member with heat adhesive denatured polypropylene. CONSTITUTION: Denatured polypropylene containing carboxyl group obtained by graft polymerization with unsaturated carboxylic acid or heat adhesive denatured polypropylene obtained by low temperature plasma treatment with oxygen or a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen is used as a sealing member 6. By using polypropylene having higher melting point than polyethylene as the sealing member 6, melting of the resin caused by heating during card lamination or heat sealing is prevented. By graft polymerization with unsaturated carboxylic acid or low tempearature plasma treatment, bonding strength with metal is increased, and separation in bonding part caused by bending of a battery is prevented. Therefore, heat resistance and flexibility of the battery can remarkably be increased. |
