A method for determining the planning of a schedule of frequencies which shall be allocated to a plurality of base stations (11-14) managing cells (1-4) of a cellular wireless telephone network whereby an algorithm implemented by a calculating system having access to a given number of radio communications carrier frequencies (fi, fj,) operates as follows: to a given cell (1) under consideration, it allocates a frequency (fk) associated with an estimated minimal interference, and by selecting another cell (2-4) of the remnant of cells to be processed, it progressively develops a chain of downstream cells which are within mutual radio range by repeating the above stages in each cell, said method being characterized in that the calculating system compares the estimated interference levels with the threshold (HT) the calculating system defines a remnant of cells by eliminating from the remnant of the plurality of cells to be processed the cells (3-4) which are associated with an interference level which is is less than the said threshold, and when said remnant of cells (2) has been defined by thus developing first segment of a chain of cells of allocated frequencies, the algorithm shall develop a second chain segment by allocating frequencies to the unprocessed cells (3-4) of the remnant by searching for purposes of allocation other frequencies to be allocated to the cells of the remnant by iterating the various stages until the remnant is empty.
