<p>A control system (20) and method for chemical injectors (40) includes a controller (45) which outputs multiple feed set point signals and associated driver signals, each set point signal defining a desired injection capacity for a chemical injector (40) and the associated driver designation signal designating the injector (40) to receive the set point signal. A driver assembly (35) is associated with each injector (40). The driver assembly (35) receives a capacity signal from the injector (40) which defines the volumetric injection capacity of the injector (40), compares the capacity signal to the feed set point signal, and outputs a drive signal to adjust the volumetric injection capacity of the injector (40). An adjustment assembly (55) is provided for receiving the drive signal and positioning a stop (145) to limit the reciprocal motion of the piston (85) of the injector (40), thereby adjusting the volumetric injection capacity of the injector (40). The injectors (40) inject into a common carrier fluid, such as irrigation water, and the carrier fluid, through a carrier fluid flow operated valve (120), is also used to reciprocate the injector pistons (85). A disabling assembly (160) is provided to disable the driver assemblies (35) when the pistons (85) of the injectors (40) are forced against the stops (145).</p> |
