PURPOSE:To check the exhaust gas from counterflowing to an applicable cylinder, improving combustion, and preclude a multi-cylinder engine from getting high temp. by leading the exhaust gas of the engine to the same exhaust, passage, and installing an exhaust gas control plate with possibility of advance and retreat in a position near and upstream of an exhaust por of the cylinder which is the closest to the outlet from this exhaust passage. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust passage 37 is provided with an exhaust valve 40 in such a way as capable of advancing and retreating. This exhaust valve 40 is supported by a valve connecting rod 41, which is coupled with a crank shaft 24 through an eccentric bushing 42. The valve connecting rod 41 retreats the exhaust valve 40 to outside the exhaust passage 37 when No.1 cylinder 21 is under compression/combustion stroke and No.1 piston 25 lies at its upper dead point, and advances the exhaust valve 40 into the exhaust passage 37 to make it narrower when the No.1 cylinder 21 is under exhaust/scavenging stroke, the No.1 piston 25 lies at its lower dead point, and No.1 exhaust port 29 is open. This precludes the exhaust gas from counterflowing into the exhaust port of No.1 cylinder, and prevents the engine from getting high temp. |
