<p>PURPOSE:To detect abnormality such as breaking of a tap in its early stages by eliminating slackening of the tape at the time of loading its tape cassette and ejecting the tape cassette when nonrotation of a supply side tape reel has lasted for a prescribed time at the time of displacing a mode. CONSTITUTION:At the time of loading the tape cassette, first of all, the slackening of the magnetic tape is eliminated by a fast forward or rewinding operation. Secondly, when the magnetic tape 21 is broken in its part 24 in the midst of its traveling upon entering into a mode, the supply side tape reel 22 is not rotated, and this is detected by an end detecting sensor 12 to send a signal to a CPU 11. When this state has lasted for a prescribed period, the tape cassette is ejected by moving a mode displacement motor 15. At the same time, it is displayed at a display part 16 that the tape deck is under the ejecting state. Consequently, slackening of the tape at the time of loading the tape cassette is eliminated, while breaking of the tape or slackening of the tape after displacement of a mode is detected as well.</p> |
