PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control the position of the edge of a web in the printing unit of a rotary press. SOLUTION: An edge guide controller 4 for preventing the snaking of a web 2 is disposed between an infeed unit 5 for drawing the web 2 from the wind 1 of a feeder 3 and conveying it while holding the tension at the downstream side constant and a printing unit 6 at the downstream side, the snaking of the web during feeding with constant tension is corrected to make it possible to accurately control the position of the edge of the web.
