<p>The invention relates to an image projection system. The image projection system comprises a radiation source, polarization-sensitive filter means, polarization conversion means, and color filter means for supplying a first and a second light beam having a first color and a first direction of polarization and a second color and a second direction of polarization, respectively, to a modulation system comprising two image panels for modulating the first and second light beams with image information. In order to obtain a compact projection system in the image projection system according to the invention, the areas occupied by said polarization-sensitive filter means, polarization conversion means and color filter means coincide.</p> |
