The control head (10) belongs to a forklift truck and has a horn (12) of rectangular form with curved surface. A handle section is provided with a handle (18) and the whole body of the head is cut away underneath. A key (not shown) near the horn can be pressed to activate a starting switch and the handle has a supporting section (22,24), curving round to the arm sections (26,28) and then to the grips (30,32). The turning switches (34,36) control the speed of the truck. The mouldings (66,68) are shaped to accommodate the switches (80,82) controlling the movement of the pallet platform (or fork) upwards or downwards.
