PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form the shape of a mark of a data recording part in a desired shape even when the temperature of an optical recording medium is changed. SOLUTION: The optical recorder comprises temperature detecting means 11 for detecting the temperature of an optical recording medium 3, and laser power regulating means 2, 10, 13, 14 for regulating first and second laser powers based on the detected temperature. The mark is recorded on the medium by using the regulated first and second powers. Thus, even when the temperature of the medium is changed by the influence of the environmental temperature, the recording operation can be conducted with the optimum laser power responsive to the temperature of the medium. Accordingly, even when the temperature of the medium is changed, the shape of the mark of the data recording part can be formed in a desired shape. |
