Process for preparation of white liquor. Black liquor is burned and the smelt is dissolved to make a green liquor. The green liquor is pressure filtered before it is causticised to produce white liquor. The white liquor is pressure filtered and the lime sludge is washed and dried in the filter. The lime sludge has a dry substance of 75-85 % when it is brought to a storage container before it is dispensed to the lime oven. A storage container for lime sludge.
