摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the light efficiency by using a laminated wavelength plate, dichroic prism and dichroic mirror. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal projector device is provided with a light source which generates white light, a reflector which reflects the light from the light source, a polarization transforming element which aligns a polarizing direction of the light from the reflector, the laminated wavelength plate which rotates the polarizing direction in the specified wavelength region of the light passing the polarization element almost by 90 deg., a dichroic prism which separates first primary color, second primary color and third primary color in three primary colors of the light which is transmitted by the laminated wavelength plate and a wavelength plate which rotates the polarizing direction of the first light transmitted by the dichroic prism about by 90 deg., and therein the first light transmitted by the dichroic prism is made incident on a liquid crystal panel with a prescribed angle for the second and third light which are reflected.
