Screening effectiveness of agents against plant pathogens at the molecular level by determining altered gene expression

A screening method, to recognize and/or characterize anti-plant pathogen effectiveness of agents, where the recognition, especially characterization of the effectiveness is the alteration of the expression strength of the gene at the molecular level which results from infection of the plant with pathogens, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a DNA sequence or its homologues having one of 20 sequences (given in the specification); (2) production of a DNA sequence as in (1); (3) a potato DNA sequence, obtained by a method as above where the pathogen is Phytophthora infestans and the plant is potato; and (4) a P. infestans DNA sequence obtained by a method as above, where the pathogen is P. infestans and the plant is potato.
