PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control reproduction of multimedia data protected by copyright information not only before decoding processing of the data but also after decoding processing of the data. SOLUTION: A demultiplexer 2 demultiplexes a data stream including an IPMP stream having a plurality of object streams each having prescribed information, scene description information to synthesize information included in a plurality of the object streams, and IPMP information to manage the copyright of the information into each object stream. Then an IPMP control section 20 determines control of reproduction of moving picture object streams as to whether it is conducted before decode processing or after decode processing of the moving picture object stream in a moving picture decoding circuit 17 on the basis of the IPMP information.
