PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that stabilizes the speed of a transfer carrying belt 60, or a moving body, and reduces the cost of a transmissive photosensor that detects a belt mark put on the belt. SOLUTION: The transmissive photosensor 71 has one light-emitting element 71a and two light-receiving elements 71b and 71c that receive light emitted from the light-emitting element 71a and transmitted through a transfer carrying belt 60. The light-receiving elements 71b and 71c are formed on the same semiconductive substrate 71d so as to be fixed in positions that are deviated in the direction in which the transfer carrying belt 60 is moved. |
