PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing an aryl ester of a carboxylic acid in an easy less-expensive manner through an extremely simple method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an aryl ester of a carboxylic acid comprises reacting a carboxylic acid having at least one terminal carboxyl group with a di- or tri-arylphosphite compound of the general formula (1) (wherein, R groups are each independently H, a halogen or an alkyl; (m) is 2 or 3; (n) is 1, 2 or 3; and when halogenic groups and/or alkyl groups as R exist in a plural number, the groups may be identical to or different from each other).
