PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trash-removing system which can efficiently remove trashes, has a simple configuration, can be installed at a narrower area, and can be operated at a lower installation cost and at a lower running cost than those of conventional systems. SOLUTION: This system 1 for removing the trashes contained in the cut sugarcane is characterized by comprising a hopper 2 for storing the sugarcane cut in a prescribed length, a trommel 4, and a wind separator 8, and by feeding the cut sugarcane stored in the hopper 2 into the trommel 4, removing earth and sand trashes from the cut sugarcane and peeling the sheaths of the cut sugarcane, feeding the cut sugarcane containing the peeled sheaths into the wind separator 8, and at least separating the lighter trashes from the stems of the cut sugarcane in the wind separator 8.
