PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable capacitance element in which the variable capacitance is not discrete, the capacitance can be varied up to a high level, the polarity does not exist, and an IC can be implemented while reducing the size. SOLUTION: The variable capacitance element comprises a pair of input terminals 4a and 4b, a switching element 1, a capacitive element 2, an amplifier 3, and a pair of output terminals 5a and 5b. One input terminal 4a is connected with one terminal 1a of the switching element 1 having the other terminal 1b connected with one terminal 2a of the capacitive element 2 having the other terminal 2b connected with the other input terminal 4b. One terminal 2a of the capacitive element 2 and the other terminal 1b of the switching element 1 are connected with the input side terminal 3a of the amplifier 3.
