PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality sterilized feed by promoting optimum sterilizing treatment and pregelatinization regulating treatment without deteriorating the feed and to save energy for the sterilizing treatment in a batch method for pressurized steam sterilization. SOLUTION: This batch method for pressurized steam sterilization comprises measuring feed material temperature just before introduction of a bacterial contaminated feed into a batch pressurized steam sterilizing bath corresponding to season variation and time variation each time the feed is introduced, precisely setting suitable treating conditions such as steam pressure, steam feed rate and residence time in the bath according to the measured feed material temperature and carrying out the optimum sterilization and pregelatinization regulating treatment of the feed. Furthermore, a pellet granulator is installed in the latter stage of the steam sterilizing bath. The sterilizing treatment and the pregelatinization regulating treatment are more promoted by granulation processing of the treated feed. |
