OUTER SHAPE MEASURING METHOD OF UNVULCANIZED TIRE AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for measuring the outer shape of an unvulcanized tire capable of efficiently measuring the circumferential length of the unvulcanized tire and its radial deflection before being transferred to a vulcanizing process. SOLUTION: A distance In from the circumferential face of the tire T to a prescribed reference position is measured over the entire circumference of the tire T by a displacement gage 1 while the unvulcanized tire T is rotated by a molding drum A, since the circumferential face (GOC) of the tire T and the radial deflection (RRO) are calculated on the basis of the measured values respectively, their measurement can be simultaneously performed while the unvulcanized tire T is held on the molding drum A, and measuring working can be performed very efficiently.
