PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device which improves safety by ensuring stabilized burning while increasing the burning capacity. SOLUTION: The combustion device 1 comprising an evaporator 7 for evaporating a liquid fuel and producing a liquid gas transfers the produced fuel gas or a mixed gas of air and the fuel gas to a combustor 6 for burning. The device also comprises a control means 100 for controlling the supply amount of the fuel gas and air supplied to the combustor 6. The combustor 6 comprises a burner port base 60 in which burner ports 68a for emitting flames are arranged on a plane, a temperature sensor 91 for the burner port base and a temperature sensor 92 for the evaporator. The control means 100 compares the detection signals from the temperature sensors 91, 92 with a given discrimination reference to judge the burning conditions and combustion abnormality or sensor abnormality, and conduct combustion control or abnormality avoidance control according to the judgment.
