PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil conveying method in a shield method capable of force-feeding soil for a long distance by means of a comparatively small-scale pump in discharge of the soil in the shield method. SOLUTION: This soil conveying method in a shield method for charging soil excavated by a shield machine into a soil force-feeding pipe and force-feeding it by means of a soil force-feeding pump toward above the ground is provided with a process for inserting a first plug member sliding along the inside face while closing the soil force-feeding pipe inside face in advance to charge of the soil into the soil force-feeding pipe, a process for subsequently charging the soil into the soil force-feeding pipe by means of the soil force-feeding pump, a process for inserting a second plug member into the soil force-feeding pipe after the charge of the soil, and a process for injecting pressurized water into the soil force-feeding pipe for force-feeding the soil with the first and second plugs.
