PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calendar mechanism allowing the automation of correction at the end of a month and initial setting and capable of expanding and clarifying display. SOLUTION: This calendar mechanism has a first date disc 2 indicating the least significant digit of a date, and a second date disc 4 indicating the most significant digit of the date. The first disc 2 is driven by a date driving source 12, and the second disc 4 is rotated with the rotation of the first disc 2 in carrying by a stepper 16. A day-of-week disc 6 indicating the day of the week is driven by a day-of-week driving source 14. The calendar mechanism automatically steps the date only by feeding driving signals to the date driving source 12 and the day-of-week driving source 14 based on calendar information obtained from a standard frequency transmission signal or the like.
