The invention provides an oil recovery apparatus for a roll apparatus by which oil inside a roll mantle (4) can be recovered efficiently even when the roll mantle (4) rotates at a high speed. A shoe (5) is supported on a stationary support member (3) for pressing the roll mantle (4) in an outer circumferential direction from the inner circumference side. An oil recovery flow path (55) is supported on the support member (3) and is provided inside the roll mantle (4). Further, a siphon flowpath (54) having an opening (54a) opened on the upstream side with respect to the contact portion (7) in the direction of rotation of the roll mantle (4) for recovering the oil entrained inside the roll mantle (4) upon rotation of said roll mantle (4) through the opening (54a) and introducing the recovered oil into the oil recovery flow path (55) making use of a pressure difference.
