PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the plunger head of the plunger rod for an electromotive syringe not damaging the glass pipe of a cartridge in which a local anesthetic is enclosed. SOLUTION: The plunger head 12 of the plunger rod 9 is constituted so as to push the plunder rubber of the cartridge in which the local anesthetic is enclosed and equipped with a contracted diameter part 15 having a diameter smaller than that of the plunger head. The contracted diameter part 15 has a plurality of segmented pawls 16, which are bitten in the plunger rubber to bring about anchor effect, provided to the leading end surface thereof.
