摘要 <p>Composition for treating an autoimmune disease in an individual comprises an autologous antigen that induces an autoimmune reaction. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing a composition for treating an autoimmune disease in an individual by preparing an antigen composition using tissue and antibodies from the individual; (2) producing an immunoaffinity matrix comprising immobilized antibodies specific for a target antigen by preparing an antigen-containing protein composition, separating the composition is a gel matrix, transferring the separated proteins to a blotting membrane by electrophoresis through a second matrix, identifying a target antigen by binding to a labeled antibody, correlating the position of the target antigen on the membrane with a region in the second matrix, removing antigen-free regions from the second matrix, contacting the antigen-containing region with an antibody composition from the serum of an individual having antibodies specific for the target antigen, eluting nonspecific antibodies, breaking the antigen-antibody bond, removing the antigen by elution and adding a crosslinking agent to crosslink the antibodies in the matrix; (3) device for producing an immunoaffinity matrix, comprising a protein separation gel separated from a blotting membrane by a porous carrier matrix that transfers protein fractions from the gel to the membrane without further separation and is suitable for immobilizing antbodies.
