PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software product line analyzer for analyzing the variabilities of a software product line. SOLUTION: A software-product line analyzer comprises change history data 1, a change-history processing means 2, a factor analysis means 3, a variability analysis means 4, and configuration information data 5, i.e., output data. The change-history processing means 2 converts the change history data 1 into numerical values. The factor analysis means 3 performs a factor analysis using inter-products change information as observation data. Based on each factor and each factor score determined, the variability analysis means 4 determines variabilities in the software-product line and software components corresponding thereto, and outputs the configuration information data 5.
