<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-page printing apparatus capable of especially setting an indicated page to the head of paper and enabling the output of printed matter easy to see. <P>SOLUTION: The information of a paper head indication mark is added to the printing data, which is supplied from host machinery, along with printing data and the information of this paper head indication mark is analyzed to print the printing data of this marked page on paper from the head thereof. Further, in the case of double-side printing, printing is performed from the head of the upper or back surface of the paper. By this constitution, for example, the paper head indication mark is added to the punctuation of a table of contents or a chapter and the table of contents is printed from the head of the paper and, when the chapter is changed, a new chapter starts from the head of the paper necessarily and printing output extremely easy to see can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
