PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for sealing an opening part of an existing oil pipeline of, in particular, crude oil, heavy oil or the like, which is no longer needed, and to provide a method for removing the unneeded oil pipeline at sea or in a pier etc.SOLUTION: An oil pipeline opening part sealing device is formed so as to have a cover member and a fixing member including a base part, a sandwiching tool, and a connection tool.
