An objective of the present invention is to use an operational amplifier to measure electrical characteristics such as resistivity of a highly insulative liquid sample and reduce a risk of an electric shock. According to the present invention, an apparatus for measuring electrical characteristics comprises: a pair of electrodes (21, 22) forming an accommodation space (S) of a liquid sample; a circuit body unit (3) having a power circuit (31) to apply a voltage to the electrodes (21, 22) and a detection circuit (32) to measure resistivity or a physical quantity related to resistivity of the liquid sample; two connection conductive wires (41, 42) connecting the electrodes (21, 22) and the circuit body unit (3); and an electric shock prevention resistor (313) which sheathes the two connection conductive wires (41, 42) and is installed on a sheathed conductive body (5) connected to a common terminal or a wire (312) on a high voltage side of the power circuit (31). The detection circuit (32) detects a current flowing between the electrodes (21, 22). The resistivity or the physical quantity related to the resistivity is calculated from the current detected by the detection circuit (32). |
