Disclosed are a dual-fuel marine combustion engine (1), desirably, a low pressure dual-fuel engine, and especially, a two-stroke dual-fuel low speed engine, a corresponding method thereof and a retrofit-kit including at least one combustion chamber (2) to ignite of gas-air or liquid fuel-air mixture. The engine includes an air inlet (3) entering the combustion chamber (2), and an exhaust outlet going out of the combustion chamber (2). Also, the engine (1) includes a gas operation mode and a liquid fuel operation mode. An inert gas entrance valve (5) may be controlled by a control part (6). Thus, an inert gas can be introduced into at least one combustion chamber (2) through the air inlet (3) desirably in accordance with a predetermined combustion state. |
