<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish synchronism at a high speed when receiving a 16QAM signal. <P>SOLUTION: When a frame into which a plurality of synchronous words set at the maximum amplitude value of the 16QAM signal are inserted together with an information field is inputted and the timing of the tail end of the synchronous words is detected by processing the synchronous words, the timing in which a predetermined number of symbols whose amplitude values are larger than a predetermined value are successively received and the peak value of correlation between the plurality of synchronous words and vectors corresponding to the synchronous words is obtained is regarded as the timing of the tail end of the synchronous words. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
